Kenneth Mark D’Arensbourg passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 30, 2021.

Born on June 28, 1959, Ken was known throughout his life for his large, six-foot-six frame and his even bigger heart. Always providing a helping hand, a warm smile, and a quick-witted joke, Ken’s jovial spirit truly lit up any room he entered. He will be best remembered as a loving father, a doting son, and an admired brother, as well as one of the most skilled arborists in all of Louisiana. His mechanical ability was second to none, and his creative genius shone through in all the projects he did for himself, his friends, and his family.

Ken built his own business, ABC Tree Company, from the ground up, and he served his community with great care and gratitude throughout his more than 40-year career. A lover of all things rock and roll, Ken was a naturally skilled guitar player, who had an unforgettable love for the music of Pink Floyd. He relished live music and imparted this passion down to his sons, taking them to many concerts and other performances throughout their lives together.

Above all else, Ken deeply loved and cared attentively for his family. He is survived by his two adoring sons, Austin Dixon and Hunter D’Arensbourg; his mother, Helen D’Arensbourg; his three siblings and their spouses, Deborah and Dennis Howze, Doug and Lori D’Arensbourg, and Kim Odom; his nieces and nephews, Derek and Jamie Findley, Jennifer and Jessica Howze, Chad and Cory Tyler, Angela and Matthew Boyd, and Grant and Allie Kennedy; and his many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad D’Arensbourg. A memorial service in remembrance of Ken’s life will be held at Seale Funeral Services at a date to be announced soon.
