I was almost 16 when my sister brought Kenny home from the hospital. I was so excited and he became my sidekick very quickly. As he grew, this beautiful, little child would not eat anything that was not in the pasta family, except for sweets. This caused tremendous stress on his caregivers. They fretted and paced, bribed him, begged him, and consulted physicians, but he would not give in. I remember how he would push his chair away from the table, clench his teeth together and fold his arms over his chest, if anything other than pasta or pizza was on his plate. I found the whole thing very amusing indeed. This repulsion for greens kept up throughout his life. until a few years ago when he told me he was putting spinach in some of his pasta dishes. I was so excited and only wished that his Nana, and his grandmother could have beheld such a joyous occasion. There would have been a huge party to celebrate, and the pasta would have been flowing like crazy!

Dear Carolyn, Georgie, Alex and Charlie,
There are no words to describe the pain and suffering you are all going through. Saying how sorry I am is insufficient at it's best. With the holidays upon us this loss is greatly emphasized. I am so happy that you have each other, and your beautiful grandchildren. If there is anything I can do to help, please ask.
Sending my deepest love.
Marlene
