Ken's obituary

  • Kenneth  L. Bryant 68, of Pottsboro, TX passed away on December 14, 2021 after fighting his  battle with lung cancer. Ken was born on March 11, 1953 to William and Mary Ellen (Mortimer) Bryant  in Keokuk, IA.  After leaving home at 18, he started working Cable TV and traveling the country building new cable systems with his wife and kids. He eventually settled in Texas and founded Sun Cable TV  Construction.  He was very respected in his field and known for quality work. He had a very strong work ethic and believed in being fair and honest. Ken is survived by his wife Nita (Wellborn), 3 children, Barbi Bryant, 47 (partner Ray) of Pottsboro, TX, Jeremy  Bryant (wife Louanna), 46 of Pottsboro, TX, KC Cochenour, 29 of Mesa, AZ. and 1 stepdaughter, Shannon Wellborn, 38 of Portland, OR. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his 9 grandchildren and was known for teaching them the importance of laughter. Ken was a big fan of Nascar and could also be found helping friends when he wasn’t at home.


    Anyone who knew Ken knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Ken was predeceased by his parents and grandparents, 2 brothers and a sister. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life on  Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 2:00 at Hagerman Baptist Church, 4619 Refuge Rd., Sherman, TX.
