Kenny and I worked together in the chemistry lab at Seagate for 6 years. He was always laughing and joking. A running gag was that whenever a third person walked in the lab Kenny would say "Here he comes. I'll tell you later." He definitely had a mischievous side. I remember when the two of us got in trouble for listening to classic rock (probably Black Sabbath) at full blast. The guys from the lab next door yelled at us to turn it down.
He loved classic rock more than anyone I've ever known. He told me several times he could have been a world class drummer if only he'd knuckled down and practiced. And he got a kick out of driving through Lodi like the CCR song.
He loved driving out west for pool tournaments in Vegas. The Kenny I knew was a jokester, always smiling, rarely serious. But Pool Kenny was a different matter. Pool Kenny was a shark with a backwards baseball cap. It was cool to see that other side of him.
Kenny loved to brag about his kids Kele and Cassie. Kenny was enamored with Cassie and his grandkids. And he was constantly bragging about how smart Kele was studying the History of Science.
That's how I remember Kenny. A prankster who loved classic rock, took pool seriously and not much else, and loved his kids with his whole heart, which he always wore on his sleeve.
