Kenneth's obituary

Kenneth Allen Miller, beloved great-grandfather, grandfather, father, brother, architect, military pilot, passed away peacefully April 8, 2023, in Newton, Kansas at the age of 82.

Ken was born to Leonard Miller and Dolores Habiger Miller July 30, 1940, in Claflin, Kansas. He was one of five Miller children.

Ken grew up the son of a Kansas farmer. He attended Kansas State University and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Following college, Ken entered the U.S. Navy pilot program. After earning his coveted pilot wings, Ken flew the A-4 and F-4. His aviation skills earned him an assignment at the vaunted U.S. Navy’s Fighter Weapons School where he was a Top Gun Instructor Pilot.

After completing his tour of duty with the Navy, Ken entered the business world where he became a successful architect and real estate developer.

Ken was preceded in his passing by his parents Leonard and Dolores and his sister, Cheryl Miller Buckley. He is survived by his brothers Donald Miller and Ronald Miller; and his sister Connie Miller Wilson (Jim); his children Susan Miller Barton (Jerry), Jill Miller Reed (Robert); and grandchildren Tyler Faught (Jaci), Abby Faught, Grayson Faught, Emily Reed, Christopher Reed, Megan Reed, and great grandchild Jackson Faught.

Interment will be at 11:30 AM, June 9th, 2023, at Houston National Cemetery.
