Kendrick Ellis Dakes passed away on Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the age of 30. He was born in Decatur, AL to Stacy Lewis and Keith Dakes but moved to Birmingham, AL where he resided to attend Miles College. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend and loved family. He is survived by his son Justin Dakes , his parents Stacy Lewis and Keith Dakes, brothers, Donald (Christian) Dakes and Gerald (Shelly ) Dakes. He had 2- nieces and 3- nephews and many aunts and uncles. He was an all around guy that enjoyed sports, food, and good company. The celebration of Kendrick's life will be at his hometown Decatu, AL and held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:00 am and officiated by Dr. Edward L. Owens Pastor.
