Kelly's obituary
Kelly Lynn (Venrick) Davis, a resident of Springfield, was born on February 17, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio, and left this world on August 30, 2025, at the young age of 47. Despite the challenges she faced throughout her life, Kelly was a beautiful, loving individual with a generous heart. Her spirit, while sometimes troubled, was free-spirited and gypsy-like: always wanting to see and take in more of this world. Kelly was a radiant soul whose light touched the lives of many and whose memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She will be remembered for her striking green eyes and infectious smile.
Kelly was the beloved daughter of Dana and Joyce (Cataldo) Venrick. She is now reunited with them in eternal peace.
Kelly’s legacy lives on through her two daughters, Courtney (Barry) Wilson and Bayleigh (Joe Malone) Davis, as well as her stepson, Jonathon Voorhees. She was a proud grandmother (Meemaw) to Jenna, Zoey, Olivia, Amelia, and Zander Wilson, as well as Wyatt Davis and Joseph Malone. She had a special relationship with each of them that brought immense joy to her life, and her love for them was boundless and unconditional.
Kelly is also survived by her siblings, Holly (Brandon) Dixon, Jamie (Mark Campbell) Rutherford, Tara Lino, and Joel (Ashley Maddox) Lino, as well as her stepfather, William Jacks. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Gabriel and Malachi Plummer; Nicholas and Emily Rutherford; Lilyana, Alissia, Kaiden, Colten, Tukker, Sadie, Joleena, and Aurrora Lino, along with many aunts and uncles, all of whom will miss her dearly. Among those who held a special place in her heart were her dear friends Elzie Davis, Melissa Massey, Dustin Ault, Jay Daug, and Melody Martin who provided her with love and support for many years.
A lover of the outdoors, Kelly enjoyed exploring the beauty of nature (although she had a well-known disdain for bugs and dirt). Her wandering spirit has now found its final resting place, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Rest in peace, Kelly. You will forever be missed, but your spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of everyone you touched.
Celebration of life will be held at George Rogers Park (Demint Shelter House) on Saturday September 6, 2025 starting at 2PM.
