We had Kelly over for dinner one night & served her fave, chicken/curry/broccoli casserole. Brooks,Kelly & I were yucking it up, drinking wine & having a “whee” of a time. She always insisted on doing the dishes as her way of thanking you. But Brooks snuck behind her & cleaned up the kitchen without her noticing. When she did realize what had happened, she was SO pissed and said; F**ker! She was so serious. So when I say that word now (but not to him), it’s as tho’ she is channeling thru me.

I miss her. I dream of her. She was so beautiful, generous, intense and fun! In my dreams I am so thankful to spend more time with her.

Also, toward the end, she would see me, and almost whisper: CAKE as she wanted a piece of chocolate cake.

That was our Kelly Bo Belly!

Can you hear her say: You’re amazing! AND Livin’ the dream? She also always called Duke, the “man of her dreams”!

Kelly was a genuine "trouper." I knew Kelly for several years, as we were neighbors at Lake Tahoe. She handled her original diagnosis with grace, grit, and determination to not let it define her or dominate her life. She continually surprised everyone by outlasting each succesive prognosis. Eventually, her commitment to not stop living became an inspiration to me, when I was diagnosed with an exceedingly rare, progressive, incurable and ultimately terminal condition myself. I know she appreciated the fact that I shared with her the impact her example had been for me, which continues today. Unfortunately, I had to re-locate to receive the specialized care my condition requires (and to participate in Clinical Trials for experimental treatments), so I left Tahoe before she did. I miss her smile, her generosity, her charming, warm personality, I will never forget the example she set for anyone facing a grim diagnosis. Her commitment to living -- full out, all the time -- continues to inspire!
I remember the first time I noticed Kelly at a hotel restaurant on a layover in Sweden.  She was having a very animated conversation with a group of flight attendants.  I was wishing I was at that table.  She finally became part of our group of friends, ( I think Betsy discovered her).  I loved her genuine and open nature, her sense of humor that sometimes should have gotten her in trouble, but never did.  She was so generous with her support in times of need.  As you can see from my photos we have all been together for a long time.  Thank you Kendal and Conner for allowing all of us to barge in on you for another girls get together last September.  I know we are a lot.  I think about you often.  I miss Kelly every day.  ❤️
