Background
Kelly battled a rare melanoma subtype known as Ocular Melanoma. This type of melanoma is very rare and typically progresses to the liver which it did in Kelly's case. While she was fighting this disease, several new treatments became available which helped to delay the progression and give her several more years to pursue her passions and spend time with family.
