Kim, my heart aches for you and your daughter.
Please know you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Remember EARTH HAS NO SORROWS THAT HEAVEN CAN'T HEAL.

REV ROCHELLE BURNELL
I am one of the SCSU students that had the pleasure and honor in meeting him during my school years. He was smart, intelligent, and built like a Bulldog football superstar. He will be missed, especially the million dollar smile and kind personality. It is a sad day in Bulldog country. Prayers with the family. God will comfort you and all lives Kelly Craig touched.

Yours In Christ,
Dr. Manley Marvell Collins

To the Craig family, I had the pleasure of being a teammate of Kelly's at SCSU, more than anything I am proud to say he was my friend. It sadden me to learn of his passing, he loved his family dearly and I know this from the many talks we have had. My prayers are with you and your family in this hour. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

With sincere condolences

Kelly, it pains me to even have to communicate via this platform. As youth, growing up in Winnsboro, we always looked up to you. In many ways, you were our Superman. You always thought of others and did the best you could to ensure that everyone had a chance. When I told you, while I was in high school, I wanted to play collegiate football, you never doubted me. In fact you took the requisite steps to help me achieve my goal. Who would have ever thought that goal would take us to the NFL. Our time together during Super Bowl Week 2003, I’ll never forget. It brought me so much joy to be able to share that time with you. Our time together, in Alexandria 2005, I’ll never forget. The conversations about life we’d have regularly, I’ll never forget. Rest In Peace Big Hommie. You’ll forever live on in my heart. It pains me that you never got a chance to meet your niece. Rest assured she will know who you were and what you stood for.

Like you used to always tell me: “ You gotta go hard, you gotta believe in yourself. You gotta have a sense of humor to know that adversity is gonna happen, you can't be too serious about it or too emotional and fake when the adversity comes. You gotta just stick to the script, believe and have an overwhelming confidence. Be your own biggest fan, your own biggest believer, and put it on your back and carry the weight.”

RIP King Kelly

We just heard of Mr. Craig’s passing. Our son Connor is a classmate of his daughter. I remember Mr. Craig always supporting his daughter by being at every elementary and middle school event. We continue to keep his family in our thoughts and prayers.
