Keith's obituary

Keith "Special K" Taylor, born on November 10, 1964, in Oakland, California, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 9, 2025, in San Francisco, California.

Keith was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn Thomas and the cherished son of Blanche Taylor of Jefferson, Louisiana. He shared a close and loving bond with his brother, Kenneth Taylor of New Orleans, Louisiana. His memory will also be deeply treasured by his nieces Rickeyta Carter of Richmond, California, and Rickeshia Crocket of San Francisco, California; his nephew Kenneth Mackie of Jefferson, Louisiana; and his uncle Henry Taylor of Berkeley, California.

Keith’s legacy lives on through his special daughters Lenora Thomas of Oakland, California; Jessica Smith; and Rosalee Thomas; as well as his special son Leonard Dugan. He was also a proud grandfather to Omar Smith, Success Smith, William Dugan, Lanaya Dugan, and Jerimaih Cross. Keith’s life touched the hearts of many others, including a host of relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Thomas; his sister Dorothea Taylor; and his grandparents Dorothy and Henry Taylor Sr.

Keith’s life was a reflection of love and connection. His warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As he is welcomed into heaven’s embrace, may his soul find peace and eternal rest. His memory will forever bring comfort to those who knew him.
