Keith's obituary
We are blessed to have learned so many lessons from Keith in his brief 41 years with us. Starting with: your energy is never wasted if you can leave someplace a little better than when you found it. …and let a dog or 3 join your life you won’t be sorry.
Keith Stevens Macey was born December 15 1980 in Salem, Oregon and entered eternal life on March 18 2022. He grew up In the rural town of Stayton where he attended Stayton high school. He was a very bright student who loved to be the class clown.
He was a proud member of the football and wrestling teams. Likewise he was an Allstar track athlete and loved his drawing and artwork as much as spending time with his many friends.
Keith eagerly joined the Marine Corp reserves in May of 2000 and served for 6 years during the War in Afganistan era.
Keith loved to laugh, and could be a mischievous jokester. He made the witty comeback nearly an art form; and yet his teasing was routinely followed by a wink and hug. He was an incredibly kind and generous person who did not think twice about helping others.
His love of adventure and travel took him to many corners of the world and was reflected in his love of creating craft cocktails, cooking and culinary arts.
Keith was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents. His spirit is carried on by his parents Bonnie and Steve Macey, his sisters, Melissa, Abby, and Lauren , his brother-in-law Frederic, his girlfriend Ashlie, nephews Ryken, Bertie, and Callèm and Nieces Avery, Zoe and Elodie and a wide assortment of friends and loved ones from every walk of life too numerous to list but not forgotten.
Keith was loved by a great many of us and will be unbelievably missed. A celebration of life will be held in April with details to come for those interested
