Too many stories to tell, since Keith and Jackie were friends almost 40 years - me, almost as long.  Great guy... was there to help with "all assembly required" on Christmas Eve putting Kelvin's Santa gifts together; helping out and hanging out at the farm after we bought it in 1996; Kelvin looking out the trailer window in fall/winter-time to see if Keith had on a shirt (if he did, Kelvin grabbed his heaviest coat!); setting off fireworks on the deck (even in 18 degree weather)... Keith putting one of the really powerful artillery shells in upside-down, so it exploded all over the deck and blew a hole in an iron table... putting firecrackers under chairs, in the fire, or better yet, in the leaves around the fire, so an unsuspecting person would rake them into the fire!
We were shooting off fireworks at the house for 4th of July and I was driving people back down to the deck from the house in the mule atv. My mom was in the front seat, and keith was in the back. It was pitch black dark outside and I was trying my hardest to drive through the trees without hitting one. I heard a loud BANG and yelped thinking I had hit something in my in-laws' equipment. I slammed on the brakes, but then I heard Keith laughing from the back. Turns out he just hit the door really hard to scare us. It worked! And we all thought it was pretty funny.

What did I learn from Keith Goldsberry?

1.   Not to let the gas tank go below half full. 2.  Grilling is the best way to cook meat.         3.  You can have campfires in the middle of         summer.                                                                                4.  How to make friends with everyone you meet.     (I just choose not to).                                       5. There’s nothing you can’t handle as long as you have each other.   24/7 can be joyful.                                                 6. How to self tap into steel.                                        7.  How to cool a hot beer in 10 seconds.

He taught me a million things every day.

He taught me, “When it’s your time to go, it’s your time to go” .    Even if you don’t agree

First my most sincere compassion to you all whom are survived by our beloved Keith. May God bring comfort to your family in entirety dearest Keith. Such a devastating blow to all so blessed and privileged to have know this kind spirited man. I broke & cried, upon hearing the news after sending him wishes on father's day.  I will hold my friend in my heart dearly with a hope of seeing his smiling face & putting a hug on him like his spirit did to anyone who met him. I can't remember him ever showing angry or many other typical of us emotions. He always excepted everyone as a friend & we could all take great pride to honor his memory but doing as he being a role model always did. I was blessed to know, and work with he as my boss. Always my leader as his presence just invoked us to follow his lead. I also know Patsy, wow did these two compliment each the other in ways to many to list. Not but a few ever leave us feeling like the truly best is yet to come. Praise Jesus for the blessings of a man who raised the bar for us to have better expectations of self to only match his level of kindness, patience, selflessness, integrity consistency,  motivation & much more. The world was as much better as any man could make it when you referrer to my true friend Keith Goldsberry. Forever will we not forget.. my Love Keith (papa S)

I'm so sorry for the loss of Keith. I'll always think of him whenever [ insert circumstance(s) ].

Patsy, I know you miss Keith. I just don’t know what to say, as I am still having a hard time wrapping my head & heart around his being gone. Please let me know how I can be of assistance.

Love you,

Karen

In memory of Keith, let us say,

A man who brightened each day.

With Kristian and Kenda, his kids, Patsy, his wife,

He journeyed through life,

Eagle Scout, traveling in his own way.

From Texas, he’d often depart,

Exploring with love in his heart.

But now Keith's wings rest,

Up above, he's blessed,

His wanderlust, again a new start.

His kids, wife, and friends shall miss,

His travel tales filled with bliss.

Yet laughter remains,

In their cherished refrains,

As Keith's spirit gives them reminisce.

So let's remember Keith's zest,

His adventures, truly the best.

With love that won't cease,

May his soul rest in peace,

A traveler now on an eternal quest.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, Keith Goldsberry. Although I hadn't seen him in quite a number of years due to a move, we'd had contact a few times recently on social media. I remember among many things, his singular wit. That brand of humor that was uniquely his own. He was just a joy to be around because he was always in "upbeat" mode. He never failed to lift my spirits and make me laugh. My condolences to his family and his many friends. I mourn with you, but sincerely, I celebrate the life of a unique and remarkable human being. Truly, he will be missed.

All my love and prayers are with you Aunt Patty, and all of Keith’s family and friends. I’m sorry we won’t be able to share your time together. I will be thinking of you though.
