Kayle's obituary
[MCKEOUGH, Kayle Nolan – age 31 of Lawrencetown passed away January 29th, 2022. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Claire Lasnier and the late Sean McKeough. He is survived by his mother, Claire Lasnier, Lawrencetown; brother, Ryan (Emmarie) McKeough, Buffalo, NY; son, Brayden Aubrey; niece, Maysen Aubrey McKeough; Grandmother; Clairette; Pet, Luna.
Kayle will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and teammates who enjoyed his kindness, humour and generosity. Kayle graduated from Cole Harbour High and pursued studies at NSCC and Dalhousie. Sports, mainly football, were an integral part of Kayle’s life as a keen spectator and participant. In 2007, he quietly saved up and surprised his older brother with tickets for the pair to attend the Broncos playing the Jacksonville Jaguars, in Colorado. Kayle sought to pass on his love for sports and proudly volunteered as coach for his son's hockey team. He always had a soft spot for animals, in particular dogs, and volunteered at various animal shelters. He could often be found walking Conrad Beach or Shubie Park with his cherished dog, Luna. As best man at his brother’s wedding, his humor elevated the room to a roaring laughter with his speech and recounting memories of growing up. He was a loving father. Fond memories of seeing him running through the dark house with his son in the air in a laundry basket waving glow sticks will always be etched in our hearts. His beautiful smile, quick wit and love of his family will be honoured for eternity.
Death is not the end
Nor the final word
Death is a separation
Temporarily unheard
Death has no power
To keep apart
A love forged so deeply
In a person's heart
Death creates a veil
And shields us from view
But death can do nothing
To disconnect me from you
-Tanya Lord
ALL IN A LIFETIME. “I’ll lend for you
a little while, a child of Mine,” he said.
“For you to love for the while he lives
And mourn for when he’s dead. It may
be six or seven years, or twenty two or
three; but will you, ‘till I call him back
take care of him for me? I cannot
promise he will stay, since all from
earth return, But there are lessons
taught down there, I want this child to
learn. “I’ve looked the whole world
over in my search for teachers true;
and from the throngs that crowd life’s
lanes, I have selected you.” I fancied
that I heard them say. “Dear Lord, Thy
will be done. For all the joy Thy child
shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness, we’ll
Love him while we may. And for the
happiness we’ve known, forever
grateful stay. But should the Angels
call him home, sooner than we
planned. We’ll brave the bitter grief
that comes, and try to understand.”
