Trying to find a way to describe Kayle in words is difficult.  I had the biggest crush on him and used to bribe him into hanging out with me at lunch by bringing sour skittles to school because he said they were his favorite.  From grades 7 to 12, Kayle was a staple in my life.  We used to walk and meet eachother halfway between our houses just to wander around and talk together.  Once we got older, our simple hangouts turned into house parties and he always made sure I got home safe. I even went to a SuperBowl party he threw one year, not because I had any interest, but because of how excited and happy he was to be watching his favorite thing with his favorite people. If you were ever one of Kayles people, for whatever reason, for whatever amount of time, you know how unbelievably lucky you are. He was selfless, his laughter was contagious and that smile could melt the coldest of hearts. He made the bad days not so bad and the good ones great. Whether it had been days, weeks, months, or years since we'd spoken, just knowing he was somewhere out there in the world, being himself and spreading his love and light was comforting, and coming to terms with the fact that I'll never get to bump into him at the corner store or send that long overdue Facebook message telling him I miss him and love him and that I hope he's happy is going to be a life long hard pill to swallow.

My deepest condolences to Kayles family and friends.

I hope you're resting peacefully. The world is a lot less bright without you in it.

Claire my friend I'm so very sorry to hear this news of Kayle,my deepest condolences...
My condolences to Kayle's family and friends. I met Kayle in my second week of attending Dalhousie when we discovered we were both huge Broncos fans. I had just moved back to Halifax and didn't have many friends. I always suspected he picked up on the fact I didn't have many friends, but either way, before the week was out,  he had invited me to watch football and hang out with him and his friends. That meant a lot to me. That is the type of person I will always remember him. He was one of the friendliest, most upbeat, and most good natured people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Thank you Kayle for everything. The world lost an extremely wonderful person. You will be missed. Rest in peace.
