Kay Welker McDermond, age 88, passed peacefully away on August 21st, 2024, after dealing with dementia and heart failure with pluckiness and humor. She was born in Logan, Utah to Ethan and Vesta Welker and raised in La Jolla, CA with her three sisters and two brothers. She returned to Utah as an adult and in 1960 she married Donald McDermond in Salt Lake City. She spent most of her adulthood there caring for her …
