I knew Katie from her time in Memphis. She was a great soul. Absolutely loved her family, she would often tell me about her Brothers family in Texas and family outings back home. She loved her Nieces and Nephews as if they were her own. I just found out today about Katie’s passing and I wish I could’ve gave her a proper goodbye. To her family, I heard MANY stories about all of you. Know you were definitely loved by this great person. Fly High Katie  ❤️
She will stay in our hearts forever and we blieve that she is over there praying for us.

We send our love and condolences to the Williams family over the loss of their dear Katie. We never got to meet her, but by knowing and admiring her amazing family, and seeing her  pictures and reading the memories of those who lived here,  we know it is our loss. Until heaven.  Please, if we can help in any way, we are here for you.

Affectionately,  Chris and George

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of sweet Katie. Shocked really. We were friends since 2nd grade. I’m so glad that we reunited in Asheville again over past few years. My heart aches for her family and friends. Prayers for all. Katie will be missed terribly but her smile, laugh, and joyous spirit will forever be a precious memory. Until we meet again!

It was such a pleasure to accompany Katie when she sang at Foster many years ago. She was so sweet and her voice was lovely. Although our hearts are sad, we are grateful for the hope of seeing Katie again soon when Jesus comes to get all of His kids. Hugs to the Williams family.

Just want to extend my condolences to the Williams family. So sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Katie in her adult life but she was one of my friends at Foster church when we were young. My only hope is that you all find comfort that she is in a better place now.
I do not think I ever formally met your sweet Katie. I do, however remember seeing this beauty at the office one time - I could not figure out who she was, but she was so striking - I couldn’t get her off my mind. It was as I was walking away that I realized it was Katie. I should have gone back to say something to her, but felt dumb doing it. Wish I had now! I didn’t know her, but I KNOW she was incredible for I know this family and how incredible they are! I know the beautiful way she was raised and I know I’ve seen Jesus through her family, so she had that, too! Her dad has let God use him to heal so many (myself included) - I wish I now had a healing balm for all of you. All I can offer are prayers and the blessed promise of Heaven! What a reunion that will be!

Katie was my first friend. We toddled around cradle role at Foster church, held umbrellas in kindergarten Sabbath school while the rain came down with a pitter pitter pat, marched in formation during pathfinders in the Asheville North club. We recorded ourselves singing on cassette tapes, we mountain biked along with the Williams family, we proudly carried around our Lisa Frank binders in grade school. We relaxed in their hot tub surrounded by snow, made snowball cookies in the kitchen, and listened to Adventures in Odyssey tapes to go to sleep during sleepovers. She and I were in the duckie on the Nantahala when I thought the rapid was going to take us down, she and I ran my first 5k in Fletcher as bandits when I also thought I might go down.

Ah Katie, thank you to your family for including me so often in your various adventures during my childhood. Second to my parents home, it was yours that I knew best. Ah Katie, I wish you knew how special you are to so many of us.

May this Bible verse, straight from the mouth of God, bring you peace and comfort today and in the days to come: “God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46.1

I wanted to write and let you know that you and your family are in my prayers right now. I realize that there are no words that I could write or say to make things better, but please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all Natalie. You and your family are truly beautiful people. I had the pleasure of meeting Katie once when she came with you to Charlotte for a visit. Such a beautiful person inside and out. I always remembered her infectious smile and joyful spirit. May Gods peace and strength continue to be with you all. Much love!

Dear Williams, Keaton and Whitemire Family

In these hard times, you are in my prayers, you have the best company, I am sure that the Best of Friends is by your side. There are not enough words to describe all the virtues that God put in Katie, the great job that Nathan and Donna did as parents. The Lord fill you with his love and strength. I send you a big hug and lots of love. There will always be someone praying for you in Honduras. On the Glorious Morning you will give each other that hug with Katie and Jesus.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Tes 4:16-18

With love, Sahori

Katie was full of sweetness and tenderness, God used her as a precious instrument. I have no doubt that his family influenced the wonderful human being that she was. If there is something that remains in my mind and heart it is Katie's tender smile. It was a blessing for so many. I'll wait for the glorious morning, when Christ comes and we are all gathered in the heavenly dwellings with Jesus and give Katie a big hug.
