Dear Nina and Michael,
My deepest condolences to you both. I will miss your mom at Wampus Elementary School. Her gentle voice, and her kindness with the children. But mostly the way your mom cared for those she met along her path. Her smile would light up a room. I am forever grateful to have met your mom.

Dear Nina and Michael,
My heartfelt sympathies to each of you. I will deeply miss your Mom . She was a highly sensitive, gifted intuitive and shaman in addition to her amazing musical career. Though a Byram Hills parent, I met Kathy through Helen Escoffier’s Starvisions home in Chappaqua. We were kindred seekers aspiring to grow spiritually. I taught Kathy the Japanese healing art of Reiki. Kathy loved teaching music at Crittenden and was devoted to helping her students succeed. She created magical sound healing performances playing her gongs and singing bowls for Starvisions.
During our many conversations, Kathy often spoke of her pride of your talents and natural abilities that would take you far. She had complete confidence in your abilities to succeed at whatever you desired to do. Your Mom gave me tremendous feedback on my healing practice and encouragement to expand. We were planning to work together in a new healing space this fall.
A treasured memory I will carry is our shared experience of Tom Kenyon’s performance at Symphony Space in NYC. It was an extraordinary concert of channeled singing that left us both spellbound. I am deeply grateful for the friendship we shared.

Dear Nina and Michael,
I was privileged to have taught alongside your talented and remarkable mother, Kathy, during the 2018-2019 school year. She taught with such joy and cared so deeply for her students and fellow colleagues. She spoke of you often with such pride and tenderness. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. I will never forget her.
With deepest regrets, Anna Ostrofsky

Kathy’s warmth and light filled a room as richly as the music she loved. Her wry wit, listening ear, and captivating stories forged strong bonds of friendship. She will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to Nina, Michael and her siblings: Susan, John and Mark.

Nina and Michael,
The gift of working with your mother is truly cherished. Whenever we spoke of each other's children the love and pride in the two of you came through loud and clear not through the words she said but the smile and light she emitted. She also knew my daughters and enjoyed their lives as well as she shared advise and compliments.

We had a great time at the Met watching a performance of Turandot! I will never forget her comments about the princess and her suitor!
Attending Pricilla the Queen of the Desert was also a hilarious evening.
Great food and good laughs at both events .
I will always remember Kathy’s wicked sense of humor and her love of music and good food!
She loved and was so proud of you, Nina and Michael! I heard all about you every week when we talked.
Sending prayers to your entire family.
Your Mom lives on in both of you, Nina and Michael. She will be missed by everyone she knew.
