Kathy Hart Marquez, passed away at 74 years of age in the early morning of February 23, 2024. Born on July 7, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Kathy spent the beginning of her life in the midwest before moving to Reno, Nevada in 1971. She graduated from Napa High School.

She was a blackjack dealer for over 30 years, starting at the King of Clubs and ending her career at the Grand Sierra Resort. She was married to John R Marquez for 37 years. She was an avid sewer, a Nevada basketball fan, and loved doing puzzles.

She is survived by her siblings: Dale Hart, Phyllis Shawcroft, Anita Maddox and Deanna Cobb. She is survived by her children: Carrie Johns, Steven Johns, Cecilia Moffett, Matthew Marquez, and Marilyn Butler. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Curtis, Hunter, Mason, Hali, Finley, Alicia, Marisa, Madison, Isabella and Anthony and one great grandchild, Everleigh. She was an Aunt, Great Aunt and friend to many. 

She is preceded in death by her husband John Marquez (May 2021) and her brother Darrell Hart (2014). Her mother Leta Hart (2005) and her father Loren Hart (2016).
