My aunt Kathy was such a huge part of my life growing up. I spent a ton of time with her and Candy. It’s so hard to believe they are both gone now 😭 some of my favorite memories are spending the nights over there and doing hair and makeup and just talking. For some reason one thing that sticks out to me is the night we spent when they lived in the little house across from the gas station in Orono, Wa. We were watching movies and a man showed up(we all knew him) drunk and holding a huge gun. She had Candy take us into the room and we laid on the floor. Kathy just sat on the couch and talked to him until her finally decided to leave. She didn’t freak out but just handled it and made sure we were safe. I knew I was always safe with her and I always knew I had an ear if I needed to talk.
She and my mom loved going yard-saling. I have tons of memories with her doing that.
I guess the biggest thing I remember about Kathy is that she was ALWAYS there for me no matter how young or older I was. She was always there to listen and give advice and in her younger healthier days would even volunteer to kick someone’s buttt 😂
Aunt Kathy, I love you forever and always and I’m so grateful for the time and memories we shared together. Hug Granny and My daddy and Candy and all the people 😂 for me. I’m at peace knowing you’re not suffering anymore. Love you so much and I’ll see you in eternity ❤️
Your Mom and Grandma were a huge part of my life for so long. I spent many days just walking across to her apartment and spending a few hours a day there watching shows with them and chatting. Or going to thrift stores with Grandma . She loved thrift stores.

I lived with my grandmother from 2009-2012. One thing we would do on the weekends was stay up late and play rummy while House Hunters played in the background. We usually snacked on whatever fruit was in season, as well as popcorn. We would laugh a lot and I would get very competitive! We used to dream together about what houses we would pick and how our life might be one day. I miss her everyday and cherish all the wonderful memories.
