Kathleen's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kathleen Cox (1952-2024). She passed peacefully surrounded by family. Kathleen was a woman of tremendous strength and caring to her family.
Born in international falls on September 28th, 1952, Kathleen lived a life characterized by her and compassion with nature. A steadfast symbol of strength and wisdom, she taught her children and grandchildren independence and a hard work ethic around the family, always keeping them together.
Her proudest achievements, however, were those that lay close to home. Kathleen was a dedicated homemaker - a radiant example of a strong women- for all her loved ones. Devotee to her garden, Kathleen found peace amongst cultivating beauty that rivaled her own. Her most cherished role, however, was that of a mother and grandmother.
Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Rachelle Johnson, and her sons, Brent, Jason and Jodi Cox. Her joy and purpose were further magnified with the birth of her grandchildren, Jada Heskin, Jayde McGowen, Trevor Cox, Joshua Cox, Isabelle Cox, and Dominic Johnson.
The legacy that Kathleen leaves behind is a rich tapestry of love and resilience - a testament to her character. Not only are six beautiful grandchildren left to carry on her spirit, but also a great-grandson, who will know his great-grandmother through the stories and memories passed down to him.
Kathleen Cox will be forever missed as a major family figure. Her legacy, teachings, and the love she has infused into our lives will endure, ensuring her presence is forever felt within the heart of our family.
Celebration of live will take place this Saturday, June 8th with close friends and family.
