Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. We were so lucky to have her for our mom. She was a single mom and worked around the clock to make sure we had the very best of everything in life. She loved her job at American Airlines, and all of the friends she made over the years. She loved her little Chihuahua mix, Khloe Kardashian more than anything in the world. Her final wish was to be buried in Hawaii. We are working out the details of how to get that done, and will share the information when it becomes available.

Kathryn Ruben Smith (nee Pauly) of Oro Valley, AZ, passed away on August 20, 2021 after a long battle with kidney disease at the age of 86.
Kathy was born on February 11, 1935 to Nicholas J. Pauly, Jr. and Margaret A. Pauly (nee Hicken) in Birmingham, AL. After graduating from Rogers High School in Newport, RI, she went on to study Premed at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
