Kathryn's obituary
Kathryn B. “Kathie” MacCutcheon
February 21, 1957 – July 13, 2025
Kathryn B. MacCutcheon, lovingly known as “Kathie,” passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, surrounded by family. She was 68 years old.
Born on February 21, 1957, in Hoboken, New Jersey, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kathie was the daughter of the late Catherine and Victor Boski. She was a proud Jersey girl through and through—bold, fiercely loyal, and full of life.
Kathie is survived by her beloved children: Bobby, Katie, Christopher, and Lauren, as well as her cherished grandchildren: Avianna, Angelia, Antonio Jr., and Alessandro Troisi. She also leaves behind her devoted siblings, Victor and Barbara. She was predeceased by her brothers Michael and Thomas Boski.
Kathie had a big heart and an even bigger personality. She was a mother not just to her own children but to many others who were lucky enough to fall into her circle. She never held back, never missed a birthday, and never passed up the chance to say exactly what she felt—often with a colorful word or two. She loved her Coca-Cola, her Coors Light, and a good laugh.
Kathie had a deep love for gardening, her friends, and her community. She spent years bartending and brightening the lives of everyone she served. She also founded the nonprofit “Help Us Help Them,” dedicated to sending care packages to soldiers—a cause that was close to her heart.
Her strength, humor, and unforgettable spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Washington Engine Firehouse, Matawan, NJ. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, enjoy food and drinks, and honor the life of a woman who lived loudly and loved fiercely.
