KC played a formative part of my teenage years! I spent many a sleepover in her home with Ann and family, and always felt authentically seen, valued and recognized as a whole and full human being---not simply "another teen". I always felt that KC held high standards for herself, for her children, and for her children's friends--and aspired to meet them!
As I grew older, KC always made me feel like a part of her "circle"--I remember her even trying to convince me to move up ot join them in South Dakota as she thought I would be a great leader and creative in the community! I remember feeling so honored that she thought of me to join her and build the community there!
KC was an incredible woman; strong, ambitious, creative, innovative. I continue to be inspired by her life and spirit.

It was so exciting for KC to move down to Texas to be closer to family. It makes it more sad that her time there was fairly short, but yet timely in that you were all able to be together and support each other during her passing. She was one of a kind and is missed already! Many blessings to you all!

Dear Caregivers Family,
We are so saddened to hear about KC's passing. She was a dynamic force, who was so supportive of us as teachers at Shining Mountain. Mike, Ann, Brian, and Nathaniel love to all of you, Dawn and Dan Diehl
