My dear sister, Kathy… kind, generous, glamorous and fiercely devoted to those she loved, especially Jessica and Paul. She was a survivor… resilient and steadfast in the face of adversity. And life threw too much adversity her way. She had a purity of purpose: to love and be loved. There is nothing more beautiful than that.
I will miss the phone calls, diet updates, music messages, and the “no worries”. I take solace in the fact that you are no longer suffering. I love you, Kathy.
Kathy was one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever known. No matter what adversity she faced, she always had this great spirit about her that uplifted me whenever I was fortunate enough to be in her presence. Her sense of humor and hearty laugh made every visit memorable. She was wonderfully creative and artistic; her apartment reflected her eclectic taste and was always a special welcoming place. Kathy was extremely generous and would do anything for the people she loved. Through everything, her daughter Jessica was the center of her universe. Just saying her name would always put a smile on Kathy's face. Remarkable in so many ways, Kathy had such a unique presence that just pulsed with energy. I have never known anyone at all like her.
