Kathleen's obituary
Kathleen Kim Wiley, 65, of Tuckahoe, NY, passed away on July 26, 2022 at her home in Tuckahoe, New York.
Kathleen was born on August 30th 1956 to John Wiley and Joan Howcott in Bronxville, NY. After graduating from Tuckahoe High School, she went on to waitress and did paid music gigs with her partner at the time Daniel Perito. Though Kathleen never married, she had so much love in her heart for Daniel, and she had two beautiful twin boys with Clark Tibbs.
When Kathleen had John and Matthew Tibbs, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother.
Growing up as the the eldest child, Kathleen excelled at propping up Bethelle, Marcus, John, and Jamesleen Heather Wiley (her siblings) and supported them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others, and she uplifted everyone around her, including her best friend of 55 years, Elaina Seney. Her expansive love and spirituality exuded in her bubbly, vivacious personality. Not only did she positively impact the lives of the aforementioned, she also made the days of a list of friends in her community, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends throughout the years better every time she said a word. Kathleen was the type to keep your birthday in a calendar and sing you her own rendition of the Happy Birthday song. She would go to great lengths to brighten a melancholy face; Kathleen was a true Angel on Earth.
Moreover, Kathleen was a passionate musician. She loved to sing (and she did so quite beautifully), she modeled, and she acted. Kathleen was not only physically pulchritudinous, but her spirit was just as beautiful.
When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her home practicing her vocals and filling the ears of both of her twin boys, John and Matthew Tibbs, to whom she used to sing all of the time. We will miss her greatly.
Kathleen was predeceased by her father and mother John Wilson Wiley, Sr. and Joan Vernice Howcott, her brother John Wilson Wiley, Jr. and nephew Christopher Wiley, and great niece Jordyn Wiley. She is survived by her two sons Matthew and John Tibbs, siblings Marcus, Jamesleen Heather (Leenie), and Bethelle Wiley, two aunts Janet Greene and Janis Hunter, two cousins, 15 nieces and nephews, and 13 great nieces and nephews.
