Kathleen's obituary
Kathleen (Cox) Tenaglia passed peacefully in the early hours of October 21, 2024, in her home in Milford, Michigan.
Kathleen was born on April 18, 1931, to Edna and Howard Cox. She spent her life in southeast Michigan, growing up farming and attending school in Walled Lake and then raising a family in Farmington.
She is survived by her son Andy (Mary) Orofino, and her daughters Karen Orofino, Colleen (Greg) Mulcahy, Kim (Bob) Zielinski, Linda Orofino, and Annette (Steve) Krzyskowski, the loving Tenaglia children, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Guido Tenaglia and her son Mark (Kathy) Orofino.
She was a strong-willed, resilient woman with a huge heart, who worked to provide for her family. She loved her farming background and even the unusual culinary dishes it provided.
She enjoyed traveling the many states of our beautiful country with her husband Guido.
She was a creative soul, spending her time knitting, crocheting, embroidering, painting, sketching and coloring. Her family cherishes her many works of art.
In her later years, she excelled at the games corn-hole and BINGO.
But most importantly, Kathleen enjoyed her family. She was known for hosting over 50 people in her home during the holidays. Her family’s favorite event being Christmas morning, where the tradition was for the men to cook, the pancakes to frisbee, and the children to clean up, while the women enjoyed a morning of rest and Mexican coffees. Those times together will be forever cherished.
Her family appreciates your prayers and support during this grieving period. Any respects and goodbyes can be shared through prayer as Kathleen did not wish for memorial services. Please celebrate her life and memory in a way that is meaningful to you.
