Background
Kathe often struggled with the fact that she didn't become an engineer, or pursue a long-term career in the sciences in general. This was, in part, due to feeling like she received societal messages that such a career wasn't necessarily for women. Kathe believed that one ought to be able to be anything they wanted, thus we feel that this organization is an excellent way to honor her memory.
