Thinking of Kay today - we always shared our birthdays because my birthday is the day after hers. Kay was just the best to work with at Greenwood Pediatrics - that beautiful smile of hers and never flustered. Miss you Kay ❤️
Kay was a wonderful woman, wife, mother and friend to our family. She will be greatly missed.
Ed and family. Sorry for your loss of a beloved one!

Dear Ed and family, I was so shocked to hear of Kay’s passing. We were quite close at GWP and I loved Kay for her sense of humor and her warmth. She brought her own wisdom to some of our difficult patients (and parents) and was always a source of balance . I miss her and will remember her on her birthday - the day before mine! Love to all of you ❤️

Prayers for you and your family Ed. I’m out of town.  Will be thinking of you.

I met Kay one time at a family gathering for dinner.  We were brought together by her son Tom who went to college with my son at Ft. Lewis.  Although I only met Kay and the family that one evening, I wanted to see them again and spend time surrounded by their energy and love.  You could see how much they all loved each other and it felt we had a connection.  Although distance made it difficult to meet again it's telling she left an impression on me and I've always thought highly of her from that one evening.  My son, Gunnar, will be one day post op and will not be able to attend to honor Kay yet I will be at her service to pay tribute a lovely woman and her family.

Our deepest condolences & prayers to the whole Meintzer Family.

Love, Joy, Stan, Lola & Stanley Jr. from AZ.

Even at St. Ignatius grammar school, Kay was a leader and a beloved friend everywhere:  on the basketball court, classroom and cheerleading squad. Kay's leadership continued at St. Scholastica's as homeroom class officer each year and Senior Class Treasurer. Always Ed's sweetheart with signature sweater sets at all Loyola  sock-hops, dear cherished friend and our beloved bridesmaid with a continued friendship all these decades ( often recalling  when our van filled with little Meintzers and Erlenbaughs got stuck on Pikes Peak in an unexpected snow  storm!!) Kay was a gift to all who knew and loved her.  Her nurse ministry was perfect for her --Kay's  heart cared for everyone !! God bless you "real" good, dear friend.  You will surely be missed !

I attended St Scholastica High School with Kay and I want to pass along my condolences on her loss. She had a great smile and laugh. We didn’t stay in touch so she doesn’t know I became a nurse as well. May her fond memories help comfort you and your children. God Bless you and your family.

Such wonderful and long-lasti…
Such wonderful and long-lasting friends, Kay since nursing school and Ed since kindergarten!  I was privileged to be in their wedding party as Kay’s maid of honor.  We still live in Illinois but always enjoyed our phone calls and occasional visits - this one at the Denver Botanic Garden.  Kay will always be remembered for her fun-loving, caring and genuine personality. Her friendship was a gift that I will cherish forever. Rest In peace, Kay. Our sympathy, Ed, to you and your family.  Love, Pat and Fred

Kay is pictured wearing such a beautiful gown for her cotillion.  She was so kind and generous to allow me to borrow it for my senior prom. Those were the days when we both had tiny waistlines! What a sweet gal! Sending my love to her family, Cousin Marilyn Ashe Morello
As part of the extended family (Cera's Aunt Chris), I can attest to Kay's beautiful vibrant Spirit, which was on full display at every family gathering I attended.  I found Kay to be a very attentive and engaged listener and conversationalist, with a wonderful sense of humor.  Kay had a true zest for life, for family gatherings... where lots of laughter was on the menu along with great food and fun games.  I feel blessed to have participated in some of those times. I can say that even in our limited time together, I came to love Kay... for she was and IS completely lovable.  Many blessings and lots of love to her beautiful family.
I've only had the pleasure of knowing Kay these last eight years, so it is wonderful to see these pictures from her past. Those bright eyes and that flashing smile haven't dimmed a bit over the years. I will miss her radiant presence at our family gatherings. Her legacy lives on through the beauty of her children, grandchildren, and the lives of those she touched.
