I just found out about Kathy's passing. I'm sorry to be so late in offering my deepest condolences. Kathy helped us buy our first home in Plano back in 1993! She was kind, helpful and became a friend. Sadly, we moved from Plano, years ago and lost contact. I recall her only child at the time, Barbi; was close to the same age as my daughter, Mattie(1st - 2nd grade age), and when we went looking at houses, Barbi came along with Kathy and she and my daughter would play in the houses we were looking at and we usually ended up at McDonald's afterward so the girls could play a little more. She was such a wonderful lady, a true gem, she wasn't only our realtor who looked out for us through the whole process, we were very naive first time home buyer, but she was also a true friend. My thoughts and prayers go to her family especially her daughters ( heard she had another child after we left). I know she loved her daughters so very much. I know it's been over a year, however the pain of losing such a wonderful and close family member never leaves us, it may become a dull ache, yet it's always there and you always miss them. My love and prayers continue for her family and all who knew and loved her.

Kathy almost always hosted Thanksgiving at her home, and when I could I would join her and her family. I always enjoyed entering her warm and inviting space, eating great food, and playing games. She lit up a room and had a playfulness that I loved. I miss her greatly and am grateful for the time I had with her.

Kathy was a dear, dear friend. One of the first people I met when I moved to Dallas and we were instant kindred spirits. Kathy was one of my favorite people in the world. She was always so kind to me and to my boys. We had many laughs over the years. Kathy was there for me through my divorce. She helped me get started in real estate as a single mom. And, she was there for me when I lost my mother and my baby brother a few years ago. I don’t think I would have made it without her friendship. And, while I know she is still around and that death is just a transition, I will miss her joyful presence on the human plane.
Steph and Barbie…if there is anything I can do to help please do not hesitate to reach out any time day or night. I am here for you if you need anything at all.

Though we played only a very small part in Kathy’s life, it was long enough for us to know that we were in the presence of someone very special. Only rarely in life does one come across real-life angels and Kathy was certainly as close to an angel as it gets here on planet earth. Selfless and kind, and completely devoted to the wellbeing and happiness of others, she had a joyful and playful spirit with an unforgettable giggle that touched everyone she met. Although her life was cut short, as it seems the angels had a different path for Kathy to follow, we were very grateful to have known her, however brief.
Our hearts go out to Kathy’s family, friends, and all of those whose lives she touched. It might feel very dark for a while, especially after having had such a bright light shining upon you, but I think Kathy would ultimately want you all to be happy and to move forward. That was her way. Our thoughts are with you all.
And farewell sweet girl … until we meet again.
