Kathleen's obituary

Kathleen Borregard-Prihoda, affectionately known as Grandma Kathy and GK to her grandchildren, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025. Born on January 16, 1948, Kathy was a cherished wife, mother, aunt and grandmother whose warmth and love touched all who knew her.

Kathy was the beloved wife of Jerome Prihoda and the loving widow of Gerald D. Borregard. She was mother to Jason and stepmother to Stacey, Jer, Debbie, Jackie and Mary. Her role as grandmother was a great source of joy, lovingly known as Grandma Kathy or GK to Ronald, Louis, Keith, Rachael, Brittany, Raymond, Ryan, Brian, Brett, Colin, Michael, Samm, Raymond, and Jodie.

In addition to her deep commitment to family, Kathy spent much of her professional life as a Trust Administrator, where she was admired for her diligence and care.

A woman of many talents and passions, Kathy found happiness in gardening, baking, and sewing. She delighted in creating beautiful handmade items for her family and baking Christmas cookies with her children, step-children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grand-children.

Her family fondly remembers her kindness and the special moments shared, with Ronald recalling, "We will miss you, GK. I had so much fun making cookies with you. Your frosting was very yummy!" and Louis expressing, "You were the greatest of all time. We will miss you."

Kathleen's legacy lives on through her loving family and the many lives she touched with her generosity and spirit. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.
May she rest in peace.

A celebration of life of being planned for later in the summer. More information to follow in the near future.
