Katelyn's obituary
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Katelyn "Kate" Johnson, a beautiful and vibrant soul, who left us all too soon on September 14, 2023. Born on March 21, 1995, Katelyn's life may have been short, but it was full of color, love, and warmth.
Known to many as Kate, she herself preferred Katelyn – a reflection of her unique personality. She was a bright, bubbly individual whose warmth permeated every room she entered. Everyone who knew Katelyn could attest to her being very loving, often being remembered as the one who'd lighten up the mood with her infectious smile and hearty laughter.
Katelyn was an alumna of Yukon High School, from which she graduated in 2014. Her love for education never waned, as she continued to be a lifelong learner, always curious and always seeking to understand more about the world around her.
Passionate about food, Katelyn loved dining at Texas Roadhouse, a location that has now become meaningful to all who shared such moments with her. She also had an affinity for the color blue, which mirrored her tranquil and serene nature.
When it came to recreational activities, she loved fishing and singing. Both pastimes reflected her love for life and her appreciation for nature's beauty and harmony. In the quiet moments by the water or when her voice filled the room, Katelyn was in her element, radiating joy.
Katelyn will be greatly missed by Pedro, her loving dog, who will carry her memory forward.
Katelyn's legacy will be a legacy of kindness and love. She had an immense capacity to care and share, and her compassion touched all those who had the luck to know her. Katelyn was a beacon of light and joy, and she will be sorely missed by all.
