It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Katelyn "Katie" Badillo. Born on July 12, 2007, she left us far too soon on August 1, 2024. Known and adored by many as Katelyn, she preferred Katie, a reflection of her maturity and determination.
Katelyn was passionate about life, her interests as vast and varied as the colors in a sunset. She indulged in all types of food, her ever-adventurous palate making every meal a potential joy to discover. Her preferred drink, igniting conversations and laughter, was Hennessy .
A creative soul, Katelyn found joy in exploring the art of makeup and hairstyling. In these moments, she channeled her artistic talent, transforming the ordinary into extraordinary. Driven by the hope to adopt a healthier lifestyle, she also shared a budding interest in running.
Katelyn held a special place in her heart for Colorado, an idyllic location she counted among her favorite vacation spots. Locally, she was a free spirit. She did what she wanted when she wanted , she was untouchable. These experiences ignited a fierce dedication to maturing and independence , characterizing her spirited nature.
Family was the cause closest to Katelyn's heart, marking the cornerstone of her world. She believed in the bonds of love and loyalty, her dedication setting a strong example for all who knew her. Pink was her favorite color, mirroring her vibrant personality and warm heart.
Katelyn was a beacon of strength in our lives. Despite the challenges thrown her way, she faced them with unwavering courage and grace — a testament to her resilience. She was forced to grow up too fast, yet she did so with a bravery and tenacity that inspired us all.
Katelyn is survived by her beloved Father David Badillo, Sister Lindsey Flores, Brother in law Anthony Flores, Brother Ethan Trejo, Mother Tiffanni Hall, and many more who will continue to honor her memory by living their lives in a manner that embodies Katelyn's strength and love. She will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched.
