I had the great privilege to meet Karma on a trip to NYC. She was so gracious to invite us to her 4th floor walk-up for some yummy guacamole. I loved her immediately when she asked us if we had ever been to Disney World. Karma shared that she was going to be in Orlando on a business trip and wanted to do it up big. She was going to ride everything and buy a sweatshirt and didn’t care that she was going by herself. I thought, “This girl has got spunk.” I knew instantly that I wanted to be friends with her!!!
In honor of Karma, may we all embrace our inner child and fearlessly pursue all of life’s adventures and possibilities.

I’ll one day tell Chy about her first time meeting her great aunt Karma. I love and miss you more than words could explain. Forever in my heart.

My condolences to the Hembry family and Karma’s family. Karma and I were classmates in elementary school. I remember Karma from the time she entered school in her 4th grade year at Robert L .Thornton in Dallas, Texas.
I can recall Miss Vickie Richie, campus teacher, being a close associate to Karma’s mother and ensuring that Karma’s future at her new school was comfortable and pleasant in a way where Karma could achieve. I remember her brother too. He looked up to his big sister. Karma was always innovative even at that young age and she was super smart. She rocked the last styles in hair whether it was her braids or her short mushroom cut.
I remember Karma had a great smile that lit the room and she was well liked in the class. I sometimes wondered what Karma was up to over the years. I am glad to know that she evolved into a powerful successful business woman and had and will continue to have a major impact on our community and world.

My condolences to Karma's family. I first met Karma when she hired me to work for Kevin Berg and Associates in Philadelphia, which was a great place to work. "Karm" as she was affectionately known as at KBA, is responsible for introducing a multitude of long-term friendships. We recently reconnected via social media and what a joy it was to see that name again. She was a great boss and sweet woman. "Thank you Karm"❤️

How encouraging to hear so many of Karma’s prosocial behaviors, such as altruism, cooperation, compassion, and empathy that helped improve the health of both individuals and their communities. Attending her service was an honor. Clearly, a life well lived!
