Karlene "Kay" Thomas went home to Jesus on November 28, 2023 at age 69.

Karlene was born on November 08, 1954 in Kingston, Jamaica. As a child she enjoyed tennis, badminton, spending summers in the countryside and reading her mystery novels.

Karlene met her husband, Horatio Thomas when he was a young man tossing pebbles at her as a joke in Half Way Tree. They married  December 17, 1977 and went on to have two children, Marlon and Craig, after moving to the United States in 1979. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Karlene also loved baking elborate cakes for celebrations, fruit cake and bun for the holidays and cooking the best heartwarming meals you can imagine. She enjoyed watching her tennis tournaments and had a long career as an accountant after getting her associates degree from Housatonic Community College. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. 

Karlene joins parents Carmen and Ferdinand Jenkins in Heaven. She is survived her husband Horatio Thomas, children Craig (Brandy) Thomas, Marlon Thomas, her grandchildren Saniah, Kiana, Brianna, Janiyah, Kaiden, Michael, Justice, Woodrow and Tonnard, and her siblings Donovan, Edward, Sonia and Sean
