Karla's obituary
Karla was raised in Puyallup, Washington by her parents Richard and Ruth Braafladt. During her junior of high school, Karla traveled Europe and studied French at a school in Switzerland. She went on to attend college in California, where she fell in love with sunny weather and her husband of 42 years, Frank.
Karla's fondness for reading led her to work for many years in the Puyallup School District and Maricopa County libraries. Karla was known for her thoughtfulness, humor, and infectious laugh. She was a TikTok aficionado who loved true crime podcasts and lots of coffee. Karla's favorite role of all was “Gramzy” to her three grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Frank, sister Sandi Gienger, daughters Logan Brailo and Lindsay Tucker, grandchildren Easton, Zoey, and Cadence, and many friends who were more like family.
The family will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please share a story or a photo of Karla in the "Memories" tab.
