Karl's obituary
We regretfully announce the passing of Karl McDonald who left us peacefully on July 20, 2024. Born on August 19, 1939, Karl lived a fulfilling life, rich with moments of triumph, joy, and affection.
Karl was a man of strength, humor, and unbounded love. With a personality that could be best described as giving, loving, and witty, he embraced life and made meaningful connections with those around him. His infectious smile and warm heart easily won the affection of many.
Throughout his life, Karl demonstrated an exemplary commitment to love and kindness. His coalescence of wisdom, humor, and understanding served as a shining beacon for his children and grandchildren. One of his proudest accomplishments was the challenging bicycle ride from Southern California to Las Vegas, a testament to his relentless spirit and zest for life.
Karl leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will live in the hearts of his loved ones forever. He was an amazing Brother, Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Uncle and Friend. His family, including his loving wife, Connie McDonald, son, Ken McDonald and daughter, Shelly Gray and his cherished grandchildren, Heather Barker, Haley McDonald, and Thornton Gray will deeply miss him.
A Celebration of Life for Karl will take place on October 26, 2024, at 3:00 PM at First Henderson United Methodist Church. This will be an occasion for us to remember him, his life, and the joy he brought into our lives.
We bid farewell to Karl, but he will always remain alive in our hearts. His lessons of kindness will continue guiding us, and his sweet memories will keep brightening our days, as he did during his time with us. May his soul rest in peace.
