Favorite memory: "The day I wanted to kill my girlfriend's husband Karl Glass". One day Karl showed me a horn he had bought that looked like a miniature tuba but the large end was curved in the wrong direction. He said it was really hard to play and you had to blow really hard. I fell for it hook, line and sinker. What I didn't know was he had filled it with powdered blue chalk so when I took a deep breath and blew, I got a face full of blue chalk. I wanted to choke him but he was laughing so hard that I started to laugh. As friends go.......he was the best ! Lots of memories picking huckleberries and of Peg & Karl's visit to me in Wisconsin. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off of his back. I'll miss him and am proud to say the Karl Glass was my friend.
