From the Roots Mr. Karl Gates entered this world on March 16, 1965, through the vessel of Ms. Julia Gates, who later in life married Mr. Larry Battle. The union yielded two other children, Kawanda Battle and Vergia Battle. Karl received his GED from South Panola High School. Karl was employed with Winchester Firearms for many years as an Adjuster.
The Family Mr. Karl Gates never married but fathered three healthy children during his union with Ms. Valerie Robinson. God blessed them with: Demario M. Robinson, Latoria Shanell Robinson, and Carlos Robinson He also leaves behind grandchildren, Quinton O. Williams, Kalen Gross, Kylie Denise Gross, and Carlos Robinson Jr. He leaves behind nephews, cousins, and friends. May the Lord be with his special friend Tilmus Jackson and Willie Hardin.
His Persona Mr. Karl Gates was an outgoing person with a magnetic personality and a great sense of humor. No one was ever a stranger to him. He would greet you with a smile and have you laughing right away. He was also known as the best car detailer around town, and anyone could find him detailing a vehicle. He was loved by many that knew him and even strangers upon first meet.
His Career Mr. Karl Gates had many employers: The Panolian, Sardis Dam, Panola Country Club, Air Control, Panola Mills, Stanley Auto Sales, and Winchester Firearms.
His Faith Mr. Karl Gates accepted Christ at a tender young age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Batesville, Mississippi where he was still a member at the time of his death. His legacy will preserve us and bless his family for generations to come.
