Karin Backstrom, 59 of West Peabody MA. Passed away peacefully on Febuary 21,2026. Surrounded by family and loved ones. After a long hard battle of cancer. She was born on May 28 1966 in Lynn ma and resided in West Peabody MA for about 10 years.

She is survived by her husband Russell Roesener 67 of 33 years, who also lives in West Peabody MA. Her daughter, Kristi McNulty 38 of Amesbury MA.  A son Corey Backstrom  32 of Taunton MA. Another son, Cody Roesener 27, of West Peabody MA.  She also has two brothers. Michael Backstrom 61 of Peabody MA. Mark Backstrom 56, of Taunton MA.  A sister Teri Comeau 54 of Indiana. She was also the daughter of the late Joanne Backstrom and Gustav Backstrom of Saugus MA.

If you knew her, you'd know she loved building legos. She had them displayed all thru out the house and before that she collected lighthouses. She also loved watching TV, especially poker and black jack which she played at times. She also loved her cat named cocoa. She was also known to be very loud, you'd could hear her thru out the house and so much more. She was a loving, caring person with a kind soul. She would do anything for her close loved ones if she could. She was always giving. She leaves behind a very big void for her family, especially her kids, husband and siblings.

The family plans on doing a celebration of her life, sometime around her birthday. So it has not been determined just yet. But everyone will be told when decided. 

She will be truly missed and loved for a very long time to come. May she RIP
