Kari's obituary

Kari Lyn Carpenter, 30, passed away on May 4, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on May 2, 1995, in Syracuse, New York, Kari brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning.

Kari pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a milestone she was immensely proud of. Her dedication to caregiving reflected her compassionate nature and desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

In the past year, as she embraced a new chapter of life in Florida, Kari found joy and fulfillment working at KPOT Korean BBQ. There, she quickly became a beloved member of the team—her fun-loving spirit and easygoing energy made every shift brighter for coworkers and customers alike. She built lasting relationships with both staff and ownership, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Kari’s greatest pride and joy were her four children: Kaiden (12), Zebastian (7), Liam (2), and Liliana (1). Her love for them was boundless and unwavering. She shared these precious bonds with Branson Cole, the father of her children. Kari cherished every moment with her kids and poured her heart into being their mother.

She is also lovingly remembered by her father Michael Carpenter and his wife Renee; her mother Gretchen Arnold; and her brothers Jimmy Schmidt, Jerry Schmidt, Christopher Robbins, James Erik Robbins, Benjamin Robbins, and Michael Carpenter Jr.

Kari was preceded in death by her parents James and Cassandra Robbins; her sister Krystal Carpenter; her brother Anthony Kirby; grandparents Adelaide and Jay Boucher; and aunt Sandra Robbins.

Growing up, Kari treasured summers at the family lake house where days were filled with beach outings, fishing trips, cookouts, and game nights surrounded by loved ones. Though she initially resisted country music after moving from New York to Texas, it eventually won a place in her heart—just one example of how open she was to embracing life’s changes.

Those who knew Kari will remember her as a vibrant soul—a true social butterfly who made friends wherever she went. Her bold personality and infectious laughter left an unforgettable impression on everyone she met. She loved deeply and lived fully.

May Kari’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 21, 2025, from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel 2090 East Edgewood Drive
