In memory of Karena, a heart so kind,

A best friend whose love was one of a kind.

We met at work in 2007's embrace,

And forged a bond that time couldn't erase.

Her beauty shone in every gentle deed,

Over generous, always taking heed.

Daily calls kept our spirits high,

Her laughter and warmth never passed by.

A thrift store and camping buddy, full of cheer,

Her adventurous spirit was always near.

Her beloved dog Melba by her side,

In her grandchildren, her world did abide.

Though mentally fragile, she faced each day,

With courage and grace, come what may.

Many medical issues she bravely endured,

Her strength and resilience always assured.

Now broken hearted, we bid farewell,

In our hearts, her memory will forever dwell.

Rest in peace, dear Karena, in the skies above,

Your spirit lives on in the hearts you loved.
