Karen's obituary

Karen, 70, of Sandia Park, passed away on February 24, 2023 after a long struggle with cancer. She was at UNM hospital for her last few days. Her husband Jerry Page gave support and encouragement until the time of her passing.

Karen  is survived by Jerry Page, her husband, Eileen Glaser, her mother, and Janice Silverstone, her sister, along with many cousins and in-laws. Karen was always passionate about animal rescue and animals in general. She was a long-time supporter of the Watermelon Mountain Ranch, New Mexico's largest no-kill animal shelter, as well as smaller local rescue operations. As an active member of the rescue community, Karen worked tirelessly to find homes for dogs in her area. Her own home with Jerry at one time had 9 happy dogs and a lizard named Pricilla.

She was skilled at bookkeeping and money management, and worked in that field for many years.

A memorial celebration will be held on May 12 at Karen and Jerry's home.  We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Karen to Watermelon Mountain Ranch. Go to wmranch.org and see a tribute to Karen.
