My mother was an amazing talented, beautiful, strong woman. I am so thankful I am her daughter. I love her so much and I miss her even more.

My lifelong sisterhood with Karen started in 4th grade at Golfcrest Elementary School in Houston,Texas. It was the first day of school. We shared our school supplies with each other. That was the beginning of a friendship that God blessed and protected for 54 years.

Karen saved my life. She told me about God. She made Him real to me. She loved Him and knew I needed Him in my life. She told me that He loved me. I trusted her...so at church camp at Camp Mohawk in Alvin, Texas in 1970, I accepted the Lord and was baptized. Karen was right beside me the whole time. Our bond was sealed from that day on.

Karen loved her Lord, family, friends and fur babies. One of her greatest joy's and love's was her daughter Serenity. She burst with such pride when she talked about her. That love never fails...the other joy's  and love's were her grandkids....she loved being a Mom and Grandma.

I miss my friend everyday. When I see Charlie Brown or Snoopy I remember our sweet childhood and the innocence of two kids just being best buds!

I love ya kid ... we will see each other again!

Karen was my best friend in high school, we sang in chorus class together, she had the most beautiful voice, we worked together, we did everything together, she was just so special. She introduced me to her family and they were just the best loving family I had ever met. She knew how it was for me in my family and never judged, just was always there for me ❤️, she had the most beautiful Red hair and believe me it showed from time to time , if you had Karen by your side , she was there till the end. She loved her family, and her wonderful daughter Serenity and her grandchildren. She was devoted to God. I will miss you my friend ❤️The world is more sad to me without you in it.
