It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Legg (Lipscomb), who passed away on August 20, 2025. Born on December 8, 1944, Karen filled her 80 years with warmth, kindness, and an undeniable zest for life.

Karen will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert Lipscomb her two daughters, Shannon Bowen (Charles) and Jeanine Zuk; four grandchildren, Alysha, Alayna, CJ and Chloe and a host of other family and friends. 

Karen was preceded in death by her husband William E. Legg; her brother David Lipscomb, and her parents. 

For those who were fortunate enough to know Karen, the description of her as lively, free spirited, loving, and kind barely scratches the surface of who she was. She had that rare ability to light up a room simply by being in it, a trait that left a lasting impact on all who met her.

Services in honor of Karen will be held on November 6, 2025, at Fairview United Methodist Church. Visitations start at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM and a burial at Columbia Gardens Cemetery at 2:00 PM. It is our hope that those who knew Karen will join us in paying tribute to her remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate sharing any fond memories or stories about Karen. Her spirit lives on through the shared stories of warmth and kindness that she embodied throughout her lifetime.
