Karen's obituary

Karen Jo Carpenter passed away at the age of 56 on February 5, 2021. Karen was born on August 23, 1964 in Xenia, Ohio to Edward and Shirley (Grefer) Farthing. Karen worked for over 20 years as a restaurant manager at WPAFB. She loved being outdoors, spending time hiking, canoeing, or just soaking up the sun. She loved watching soap operas and rarely missed Jeopardy in the evenings. She loved music, especially the Beatles, and spending time with her ever-growing family.
Karen was predeceased by her parents and her lifelong friend Sheila Leger. Karen is survived by her 3 brothers William (Elaine), Keith (Sue), Greg (Delaine), her 5 children Elizabeth, Jessica, Samantha, Erin (Kiel), and Eric, 8 grandchildren, 2 nieces Sasha and Jennifer, 1 nephew Joshua, 6 grand-niece/nephews, her partner Dave, and her closest friends Joanna Jenks and Cindy Wamack. The family plans to plant a Weeping Willow tree urn where Karen can live on at their property in Hillsboro, Ohio.
