Karen's obituary

Karen Frazier Williams, mother to Joseph Ray Alford and Dale Clarence Williams, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, after a hard fight with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family. Known for her love of all animals, especially frogs and had built a recent passion for canning. Karen will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She had a huge heart for her Franklin County community. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.

Karen is survived by her husband, Alvin Powell Knox; her two sons, Joseph Ray Alford (Robyn), Dale Clarence Williams, and her stepson, Cody Taylor Knox; her brother, Ted Wayne Frazier (Senka); her four grandchildren, Jeffrey Steven Alford, Cheyenne Renee Alford, Kai Anthony Alford, and Braiden Kale Luther; her four nephews and one niece; two great nieces; and special family friend Sherry Lynne Ayscue.

Karen is preceded in death by both parents, Donald Frazier and Janice Long, her brother, Jeffrey Frazier, her husband, Clarence Williams Jr., and sister Jacqueline “Jackie” Eriksen.  Special appreciation to Transitions LifeCare staff for their tireless care and treatment given to Karen in her final days.

There will be a private burial ceremony of her ashes in the Bunn Upchurch Cemetery within the Pilot Community of Zebulon, NC.
