I have many wonderful memories of my friend Karen Ellen Kaufman. We were best of friends & roommates in the 1970's in North Miami Florida. Karen became a Christian at this time and we were both affiliated with Berachah Church, Houston, Texas as "tapers". We met at "Haulover Shark and Tarpon Club" in North Miami Beach as cocktail waitresses trying to decide what we wanted to do in life. Karen's positive attitude to the "Christian way of Life" let her in the right path. Raised Jewish Karen's transition to Christianity was not an easy one..but she did it...she believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and became a wonderful witness for Christ- especially to the many Jews, and gentiles she met along life's path. These photos are early 1970's in North Miami and 1980's in Maine and Leesburg, FL where she moved. She eventually relocated to Clover SC. Karen trained in the 1980's as a hair dresser and also became a licensed Esthetician. As long as I knew her she also loved animals. Our conversations and her friendship will be greatly missed. Pat Kelly Oakes, Fort Myers, Florida.
I was so surprised to learn of Karen's passing thru this site. She was a long time hair dresser of mine and the last time I saw her she seemed great. Can someone email me and tell me what happened?
Thank you! Ashleyfalvey@ymail.com
