Jim, Jesse and Elijah - thinking of you in this difficult time. I will miss Karen’s sparkling wit, the pride in her voice when she spoke about her family, her passion when she talked about her work.  May her memory be a blessing. - Andrea Karp

Dear Jim, Jesse, and Elijah,

I am sending my condolences and thinking of you in your time of grieving .I was one of the members of Karen’s book club, and got to appreciate her brilliance, enthusiastic approach to life, and absolutely lovely personality for several years.  She was such an avid reader, and always had great book recommendations and ideas. She also was very quick to help when my daughter broke her ankle three months ago and was supportive in many situations, regardless of what was going on in her life. I will miss her very much.  I pray that all of your memories helps sustain you over the next days, months, and years!

Dear Family,

What a profound life of compassion and sharing! It is to us to emulate and follow her path, which will only enrich her in our memories.

Love, George Little

Dear Jim, Jesse and Elijah,

Such sad news about your loss. She fought the battle! To read her obituary is to get a glimpse of what an amazing woman she was! Loving and caring to family, friends and children - even people she didn’t know. We had such a good time the one visit you came to Vermont and stayed with us! (Actually you stayed twice since your flight was canceled!)

Our prayers are with you as you begin to adjust to life without her. I am truly sorry!

Love,

Cindy

Karen, I will always remember you as a bright, funny, loving and steady friend, and fun and brilliant songwriting partner. Your support and encouragement during some rough times was inspirational. Your beautiful smile lives on in my heart.

I love this picture of you, Karen. It is exactly how I remember you. Kind, gentle, smiling, and a friend to all who knew you.

I was so lucky to have known her.  She was a loyal friend and brilliant mind.  I will miss her forever.
