We are so saddened by the loss of Karen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Melaina & Brooklyn and all her family and friends. She was such a ray of sunshine and made everyone feel so loved. We were a part of a special family and will always cherish the adoption bond we shared. As her favorite fortune cookie stated “ she was welcome at all gatherings “. How true that was.

So heartbroken. How do you put into words the value of a lifelong friendship? Such a clever, funny, supportive friend since 4th grade. The void is difficult to grasp. So many beautiful memories.

I am so very sorry for your loss of this beautiful lady, Karen. My family and hers grew up together in Saline; in school, in the SAP Theater Group, and in general. I really wish I could attend Karen's LIFE CELEBRATION, but I will be out of the country at that time.
Karen's parents were best friends with my parents, and Karen and my youngest sister were also "besties" throughout their lives and always kept in touch.
I know Karen's passing will be a magnificent LOSS to all who knew her and my heartfelt sorrow goes out to those left behind who will grieve her void in their lives.

I haven't been in touch with Karen in more than 40 years but we were in the musical Annie together at Union School and she was so funny in her role. Also as my classmate and on the playground. My condolences to all her friends and family.
